• Fruit Juice- not all sugars are bad

We’ve all seen the scary headlines in the news about sugars in fruit juice being bad for your health. Well – maybe with traditional heat pasteurised, from concentrate or “added sugar” juices that certainly is the case. But not with Mello.

We’re very proud of the fact that we’re not your average “fruit juice” and that each bottle of Mello is the closest you’ll get to cracking open a fresh melon fruit yourself. And let’s face it, not all sugars are bad. The naturally occurring sugars found in Mello, that come from these wonderfully delicious and exotic fruits, are not the same processed and refined sugars that the media warn against. In fact – Mello contains on average the same amount of natural sugars (if not less in some cases we’ve come across) as many green (vegetable & fruit) juices! So if you’re looking for a healthier, delicious and refreshing juice without the added sugars, you’ve come to the right place.

Mello melon juices are 100% raw, natural and unpasteurised with absolutely no additives, added sugars or sweeteners. What may be even more surprising to consumers is that studies show that the antioxidants found in watermelon can actually enhance the oxidation of fat!

According to a study in the Journal of Nutrition, researchers have found that the amino acid arginine, abundant in watermelon, might actually promote weight loss. They found this amino acid enhanced the oxidation of fat and glucose and increased lean muscle, which burns more calories than fat does. So snacking on watermelon and fresh watermelon juice may just be the added kick that your diet needs! Other sources of arginine to add to your diet are seafood, nuts and natural seeds.
